The MiFID Forum France (M2F), a forum for dialogue and coordination on the Markets in Financial Instruments Directive, was launched on the initiative of AMAFI, among others. M2F's participants are financial intermediaries, IT firms, asset managers, consultants and market infrastructures, who come together to address technical issues of general interest raised by MiFID and, where necessary, to come up with proposals for operational solutions.

The participants deal with a wide range of topics, including the use of new data, interoperability among participants in the order handling process, the assessment of firms' testing requirements and other technical matters arising from practical implementation of the new directive. M2F is organised around a cross-industry steering committee, with OTC Conseil acting as its secretariat.
