Savings and Investment Union: response to the European Commission
Since its creation in 2015, the initiative to establish a Capital Markets Union has been a priority for AMAFI. The Association welcomes the recent political momentum in this direction and calls for decisive and ambitious legislative proposals to make it a reality.
AMAFI’s response to the European Commission’s consultation (AMAFI / 25-19) takes up the main priorities set out in its 2024 report on the UMC (AMAFI / 23-88), and in the appendix highlights the key legislation (currently under negotiation at levels 1 and 2, or in the pipeline) where simplification is needed.
